Glass Off: Surf Forecast

Glass Off doesn't bury you in numbers. You tell it the wave you're looking for, and it tells you when you'll find it. SET UP YOUR WAVE ONCE Minimum and maximum height, minimum period, the wind you can put up with. That profile is the input. Every score you see afterwards is measured against your surfing, not against someone else's idea of a good day. A longboarder and a shortboarder open the same beach on the same morning and get different numbers, because they should. A SCORE FROM 0 TO 10, HOUR BY HOUR Days ahead, for any beach in the world. Open a spot and you see which hours work, the best window of each day, and why a bad hour is bad: too small, too big, wrong wind, not enough period. Water temperature and the day's weather are there too. ANYWHERE THERE IS A COAST Search any beach by name. There is no curated list of famous spots to be left out of. Glass Off finds the sea next to the place you typed, works out which way that stretch of coast faces, and reads the swell offshore from it. Your local beach works exactly like Pipeline. ALERTS WHEN YOUR DAY SHOWS UP Follow the spots you care about and set the score worth waking up for. Your phone tells you, and the check happens on the phone itself. Nothing is sent anywhere. WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL The last forecast you loaded stays on the device, so you can check it in the van on the way down. NO ACCOUNTS, NO ADS, NO TRACKING No sign-up, no email, no analytics, no subscriptions. The app asks for six permissions and none of them is your location. Your spots and your profile never leave the phone, and you can export them to a file whenever you want. Metric or imperial. English or Spanish. Forecast data comes from the Open-Meteo marine and weather models. Map tiles from OpenFreeMap, map data from OpenStreetMap contributors. A forecast is a forecast. Look at the sea before you paddle out, know the spot, and never surf beyond your level.

Glass Off scores every hour from 0 to 10 for the wave you actually want. Set your height range, your minimum period and the wind you can live with. From then on, every beach in the world gets a score measured against your surfing: the hours that work, the best window of each day, and an alert when your day shows up. No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
