Cloudlarm: Weather Alarms

Cloudlarm watches the weather forecast for you and lets you know when it meets your conditions: frost tonight, a dry window for the laundry, strong gusts tomorrow or an aurora under a clear sky. How it works • Pick a place: use your approximate location or search for a town. • Set an alarm with your own threshold, for example −2 °C for frost, and choose when to check. • Cloudlarm checks the latest forecast from MET Norway and notifies you when your conditions are met. 18 kinds of alarms Warnings: frost, precipitation (rain and snow, each with its own threshold), wind and gusts, heat, black ice, tropical night, thunderstorms, UV index, fog and pressure drop. Good weather: dry window, laundry weather, barbecue weather, drone weather, running weather and stargazing. Aurora: an alert, usually within minutes, when the Kp index reaches your level after dark and the sky is clear enough. In the evening, a heads-up when NOAA's forecast makes an aurora possible tonight. Custom conditions: combine temperature, wind, gusts, rain, cloud cover, humidity, UV index and daylight into an alarm of your own, such as dry, calm and mild hours for spraying. Hourly forecast Temperature and rain for the next 24 hours, hour by hour, above your alarms and in a widget for your home screen. Free for everyone. Daily weather report A short summary of the day at the time you choose: the sky, the lowest and highest temperature, and when rain or snow falls, for today or for tomorrow. Add up to six details you pick, such as the temperature when you leave work, how cold it feels in the morning, rain in the evening, the UV index, wind, or sunrise and sunset. Included in Premium. Our server only sees an area a few kilometres across. • Your alarms are checked on your phone, so we don't know what you are waiting for. Aurora alarms only tell Google's push service a hemisphere, a 15° band of longitude and the Kp level you wait for. To save battery, some phones stop apps in the background, and then alarms check late or not at all.
