NCE Test Prep - 2026

Prepare for the National Counselor Examination with 2,000 practice questions across all six domains, every one with a written explanation. WHAT YOU GET • 2,000 practice questions, weighted the way the NCE is weighted • Full-length mock exams — 200 questions, timed like the real thing • Quick Quiz — 10 questions drawn from every domain, weighted like the exam • Mistakes — keeps every question you answered incorrectly until you answer it correctly • Bookmarks — save any question and return to it whenever you want • Works completely offline. No account, no sign-up, no data collection. WEIGHTED WHERE THE EXAM IS WEIGHTED Counseling Skills and Interventions and Areas of Clinical Focus together are around 59% of the scored exam. This bank is built to that shape, so the bulk of your practice sits where the bulk of the marks are — not spread evenly across six domains as though they counted the same. WRITTEN AS THE EXAM ASKS The NCE's signature question is "what does the counselor do NEXT?" The wrong answers are rarely absurd — they are usually things you would legitimately do later, or things a different professional would do. Order of operations is the discriminator, so that is what these questions drill, with a client vignette on every applied item. ETHICS RUNS THROUGH EVERYTHING Not just the ethics domain. Wherever a scenario touches confidentiality, competence, boundaries or informed consent, one option is the ethically wrong move — named as such in the explanation. HONEST ABOUT READINESS The NCE reports a scaled score, and NBCC is explicit that it is not a percentage. This app will never show you a predicted score or a probability of passing, because nobody can calculate one. It shows your accuracy on these questions and says so plainly.
