Cricket Nuffy: Word & Quiz

A cricket word game where every answer is cricket. Swipe letters on the wheel to fill a crossword grid with yorkers, googlies, doosras and sledges, then guess the cricketers hidden in each player round. Player rounds On every fourth level the whole grid is cricketers' names, and a banner says so before you start. You get seven letters and have to find the players in them. The names come from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the West Indies and Afghanistan, and the women's game is in there too. Nuffy's notes Find a word and a one-line note shows what it means: what a snick is, which way a googly turns, who a surname belongs to. Once the grid is done, the level-clear screen lists the notes for every word, so you can read back over the ones you guessed. How a level works Each level hides three to eight words. There's no timer and no lives, so take your time over the long ones. Clear a grid without a wrong word for the Flawless bonus. Stuck? Your first hint is free. After that you spend Runs to reveal a letter, Snick a tile of your choice or reveal a whole word. Shuffling the wheel costs nothing. Nuffy Quiz A cricket trivia quiz of ten questions a round, drawn from a bank of 407 on the laws, World Cup finals, records, grounds, nicknames, women's cricket, the associate nations and the franchise T20 leagues. Every answer comes with a line on why, so you learn something even when you miss. Right answers earn Runs, a perfect ten earns a bonus, and your lifetime score climbs a ladder from Tail-ender to Legend. 25 grounds, 500 levels Every level you clear puts a Nuffy in your stands and lights up another block of seats. Twenty levels pack a ground out and open the next one on the map. The grounds start in the nets and on a village green, then travel through the subcontinent, the Caribbean and franchise night cricket to the Long Room. Tap any Nuffy to see the word it came from, collect them in the album, and spend Runs on decorations for your ground and kit colours for your Nuffies. A puzzle every day A new daily cricket word puzzle pays out Runs and a golden Nuffy for the album. Miss a day for a match, a wedding or a long weekend and your streak pauses where it was. It doesn't drop back to zero. Offline, no account Levels, the daily puzzle and the quiz all work without a connection. You don't make an account, and your progress stays on your phone.
