Marathon mode wraps the snake through walls, turning edges into passage points that open routing options entirely unavailable in Classic, the snake can cross the board seamlessly. Despite the safer boundary rule, Marathon eventually becomes just as dangerous as Classic: the snake's growing body fills the grid regardless of wrapping, creating self-imposed congestion. Both modes run offline, maintain separate score histories, and reward coins for diamond catches, but they develop fundamentally different player instincts.
