Find pose ideas, follow live camera guides and plan your next photoshoot.
Not sure what to do when someone points a camera at you? Stance is a posing app with photography poses to try, a see-through guide on your camera and simple tips for your next shot.
Pose direction for people who hate posing.
Find your next pose
Swipe through 300+ pose references from real photos. Explore Standing, Walls, Sitting, Movement, Couples and Groups. Filter for women, men or everyone, then pick the vibes you like: Easy, Candid, Editorial or Playful. Your For you feed is personalized using your onboarding answers, and Editor's picks gather the most striking poses.
See the pose on your camera
Choose a pose and open the ghost camera. A transparent cutout of the person appears over the live view, so you can line yourself up with the reference before taking a photo. Drag the guide, pinch to resize it, mirror it and adjust its opacity to suit your shot.
Get a little direction
Each pose includes three short tips that rotate while you shoot. Small prompts about your weight, chin or eyes give you something practical to try. Use the rule of thirds grid, switch between front and back cameras, or set a 3-second or 10-second timer.
Plan your photoshoot
Build a shot list from the poses you want to try. When you start shooting, the camera follows your list in order and moves to the next pose after each photo. Keep your pose ideas together instead of deciding on every shot from scratch.
Look back and compare
Your Roll keeps each photo with the pose you were following. Use Compare to place the ghost over your photo and check the alignment yourself. Save your photos to your phone's gallery when you want to keep or share them.
Bring your own pose
Pick a reference photo from your gallery and turn the person into a ghost guide. The cutout is created on your phone, without uploading that photo for processing. Use it as a reference in the camera to try a pose you already like.
Start with a little help
Answer two questions about how you shoot and your vibe. Short hands-on demos introduce the app, and your answers help build a first shot list to get you started.
For solo photos, portraits, couples and group shots, Stance helps you move from looking at a pose to trying it in front of the camera.
