D-Ring

Clip a tag for every trail you hike and watch your personal collection grow on a virtual carabiner. D‑Ring is a minimalist hiking log built for outdoor enthusiasts who want a clean, tactile way to record each outing without maps, accounts, or unnecessary clutter. The Dashboard gives you an immediate read on your adventure tally with a Tags Collected counter, a Total Kilometers sign, and a Recent Tag card that showcases your latest trail at a glance. When you are ready to log a new hike, the Log tab presents a straightforward form where you enter the trail name, type the distance, select the difficulty from easy, moderate, or hard, and pick the date using the native date picker. Pressing the Clip Tag button saves your entry with a satisfying haptic confirmation and instantly mints a new digital memento. Your entire history lives inside the Trail Tags tab, where every hike appears as a stamped metal dog tag complete with debossed lettering, distance, date, and a colored band indicating difficulty. You can scroll through your collection, swipe left on any tag to delete it, or use the search bar to find a specific trail by name in seconds. The Totals tab crunches the numbers for you, displaying total tags, cumulative kilometers, average distance per hike, and a clean count breakdown for easy, moderate, and hard outings. All of your data is stored securely on your device using local storage, so your log stays private, requires no internet connection, and opens instantly even when you are deep in the backcountry without cell service. The experience is designed around the ritual of collecting physical gear, from the aluminium clipboard layout to the coloured carabiner tabs that clearly highlight where you are without relying on checkmarks or ticks. Weekend hikers, peak baggers, and outdoor club members alike will appreciate how D‑Ring turns trail memories into a satisfying, durable record that travels with you everywhere. Download D‑Ring and start turning every summit, loop, and ridgeline into a tag you can clip onto your story.
