Exposure calculator: equivalent settings, ND filter timer and depth of field.
Stopwise is a set of exposure tools for photographers, for the moments when the camera's numbers need a second opinion.
EQUIVALENT EXPOSURE
Meter a scene, then change the aperture, shutter speed or ISO and keep exactly the same exposure. Choose which setting to solve for and turn the other two. Results snap to real third-stop values, like the ones on your camera, and Stopwise tells you if the nearest value is a little brighter or darker than exact. When the answer goes past 30 seconds, you get the Bulb time instead.
ND FILTER AND TIMER
Enter the shutter speed you metered without the filter and pick the filter, from ND2 to ND32000 (15 stops). Stopwise shows the long exposure time and runs a countdown for Bulb exposures, with a vibration when time is up.
DEPTH OF FIELD
Focal length, aperture and focus distance give the near and far limits of sharpness, the total depth of field and the hyperfocal distance. Choose full frame, APS-C, Micro Four Thirds, 1-inch or medium format, and meters or feet.
LIGHT GUIDE
No meter, or a film camera? Pick your aperture and ISO, and see a starting shutter speed for twelve kinds of light, from snow in full sun to the Milky Way, based on the classic exposure value table.
