Avisatren: Spain Train Delays

Independent, unofficial app: not affiliated with or endorsed by Renfe, Adif or Rodalies. Open the app and see your train: when it really leaves, whether it is late, from which platform and when it arrives. Avisatren shows Spanish commuter train timetables (known locally as "cercanías") together with the operator's live data, with your usual trip ready as soon as you open it. The app's interface is in Spanish, Catalan and English. NETWORKS INCLUDED Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Malaga, Bilbao, Asturias, Cadiz, Murcia/Alicante, Cartagena, Ferrol, Leon, San Sebastian, Santander and Zaragoza (15 areas). Timetables are the ones the operator publishes and live data depends on what it publishes; small areas may have fewer trains with live data. WHAT YOU SEE FOR EACH TRIP - Pick origin and destination (only stations with a direct train) and see the next departures. - Real time and struck-through scheduled time when delayed, estimated arrival, line and the train's final destination. - Clear status: On time, +N min, Cancelled or Scheduled (when the train is not running yet and there is no live data). - Platform, when the operator publishes it for the train arriving at the station. - A train view with its stops, the current delay and where it is. - Line notices published by the operator. - Works offline with the downloaded timetables and, when there is no network, shows how old the last live data is. - Accent-insensitive station search, a swap-trip button and favourite trips with their next train on the home screen. DELAY ALERT FOR YOUR USUAL TRAIN Save your trip, the days and the time window (for example Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 8:30), choose from how many minutes of delay you want a warning (5, 10 or 15) and whether you want cancellation alerts. If the next train in your window is late or cancelled, you get a notification. How it really works, no small print: your phone checks the data every 15 minutes at the most (an Android limit), only inside your window, so the alert can arrive a few minutes late. And the operator only publishes delays for trains that are already running: a train leaving in half an hour may not have a published delay yet. An aggressive battery saver on your phone can delay or block the alerts. WIDGET Add the widget to your home screen with the next three departures of your trip, with real time, line, status and platform. Tapping it opens the app on that trip. FREE AND PRO Free: offline timetables, live data, platforms, line notices, the widget, 1 delay alert and 2 favourite trips. Pro: up to 6 delay alerts with their time windows and unlimited favourite trips. Yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time payment. Cancel the subscription any time in Google Play. The free version includes ads (one banner, one in the list and an optional video in exchange for 24 h of Pro). Pro removes them. PRIVACY No accounts, no sign-up. Your trips and alerts are stored only on your phone. Location is optional: it is used only on your phone to pick your station and never leaves it. The free version shows Google AdMob ads, which may use the advertising ID (with your consent where the law requires it). No third-party analytics. It only connects to the operator's public servers to download timetables and live data, to Google Play for purchases and to Google AdMob for the free version's ads. GOOD TO KNOW - Direct trains only, no transfers. - Delays, cancellations and platforms are shown as the operator publishes them and can take a few seconds to update or be inaccurate. Use them as guidance, not as a guarantee. If a value looks doubtful, the app flags it instead of showing it. - Timetables are downloaded once (about 16 MB) and the app tells you when it is time to refresh them.
