Buildering and urban bouldering: climbers map the city's spots, lines and tops.
Spot it. Climb it. Share it.
StreetCrux is the community app for urban bouldering and buildering. That bridge pillar, that brick wall, that concrete edge under the viaduct: once you get into street climbing, you see lines everywhere. Climbers map the city together, and good climbing spots no longer get lost in group chats: they get a home.
How it works: zoom in on the map and pin a spot on exactly the right wall, add a route with a photo, draw the climbing line right over it and give it a grade. Others climb your line, log their top, leave a comment or add a photo of their own. You do the same on theirs, and follow the climbers you want to keep an eye on. Found a line worth showing? Share it, with the climbing line drawn right on the photo. The more people join in, the better the map gets.
What you get:
- A map of street bouldering spots on OpenStreetMap that grows with every contribution
- Routes with a photo and the climbing line drawn over it, start and top holds included
- Two-finger zoom on a route photo, with the line zooming along
- Grades in Font, V or PIACS (the urban scale), whichever you use
- Likes, tops and projects: see who topped a route, mark what you're working on
- Share a route as a photo with its climbing line, or as a link that opens in the app when it's installed, and in the browser otherwise
- Comments and replies for beta and conditions
- An activity feed with the latest spots, routes and tops
- Push notifications only for what you choose, like new routes in your city
- Filters for grade, climber and likes, plus search for spots, climbers and places
- In six languages: English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and Russian (the how-to and the guides in English, French and Dutch)
Urban climbing isn't tied to one city: the community keeps growing wherever climbers add spots. Everything on StreetCrux comes from climbers: they add the spots, routes and photos themselves. You can report content or a user, block anyone, and we review every report. StreetCrux is for climbers aged 16 and over. It's free, has no ads, and you can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the web.
Every wall has a line. Go find yours.
Novità
New: share a route via WhatsApp, Instagram and more, also as a photo with the line drawn on it. If you have the app, a shared route opens right in it, zoomed in on the spot. The map zooms in further, so you can place a spot more precisely. Pinch to zoom on a route's photo. Deleting now asks for confirmation first. Activity starts with what's happening around you. The ? menu is now called Help.
