How a chart works, in four steps: 1. Look at the grid. It is cut into constellations, each one a tinted, hatch-engraved plate with a gilt border. 2. Tap a cell once to dot it out, twice to light a star, a third time to clear it. Drag a finger across cells to dot several at once. 3. Give every row, every column and every constellation exactly one star. Stars may never touch, not even corner to corner. A star that breaks a rule turns vermilion straight away, so you can see the problem before it spreads. 4. When the last star fits, the chart draws its constellation line by line and you are charted. That is the whole rule set. The thinking happens in the gaps: a constellation squeezed into one row decides that row for you, two narrow plates sharing two columns take both columns, and every star you light rules out its eight neighbours. The voyage A small hot-air balloon carries you across three skies, twelve charts each. Dusk Sky opens on 5×5 charts; Midnight Sky and Dawn Sky grow to 9×9. Every chart has exactly one solution, so careful reasoning always gets you there without guessing. The twist: twin-ring constellations From the Midnight Sky on, some constellations carry a twin-ring mark. Those take two stars instead of one, which changes the counting on every row and column around them. Crescents, lanterns and the atlas - Each chart you finish earns one to three crescents. A clean solve with no lantern help and at most one slip gets all three. - Crescents open the next sky: 12 for the Midnight Sky, 28 for the Dawn Sky. - Lanterns are hints. One shows a star that belongs on the chart, or points at a star that has to go. You start with three, and the first three-crescent solve of each chart refills one. - Each chart you finish adds its constellation to the star atlas, drawn the way you solved it. Daily chart A fresh chart every day, with a streak that grows when you come back tomorrow. Settings Sound, haptics and a reduce-motion switch that stills the drifting sky, the board shake and the sparkle bursts. Tessmere Skies has no account screen and no network code. Crescents, lanterns and your streak sit in the game's own storage on the phone, and there are no ads or purchases anywhere in it.
