Lie Low: World Hide and Seek

Somebody is standing on a road somewhere on Earth. You get 20 questions to find them. Each turn there are four question cards. The hider bans one, and you ask one of the other three. Are they within 1,000 km of your pin? Is there red on their flag? What does their street sign say? Every answer is true, and everything it rules out turns grey. The world shrinks, the map follows you down from the whole globe to the streets, and when you're ready you drop your final pin. THE CARDS • Radius, compass and warmer-or-colder cards that close in around your pin • Country cards: bigger or smaller, a king or queen, the Olympics, the money they pay with • Glimpses of the hider's world: their street sign, their clock, how they say hello, how high up they are, when the sun rose there, the nearest town, the nearest highway sign • Every 4 questions the hider sends a real photo from somewhere near them • Street cards once you're close: the nearest park, school or station, and the name of their street FOUR HIDERS The Backpacker sticks to famous cities. The Hermit goes remote, up high or out on an island. The Commuter lives in the suburbs of a big city. The Smuggler stays near a border or a coast. PLAY A FRIEND Start a room, send the 4-letter code and take turns. One of you hides anywhere on the map, the other seeks. Ban the questions they want most, watch them close in, then swap. Whoever finds the other closer wins the pair. No chat, just a few emoji. EVERY ROUND ENDS WITH A POSTCARD See where they really were: a photo taken nearby, the street sign as it's written there, and a few lines about the town.
