Turn the rotary dial to make the sum. Every right sum dials a digit. No timer.
Turn the dial, make the sum, and every right answer dials one digit of a phone number. Math Is Calling is a noir math puzzle on an old rotary phone.
ONE SWIPE PER SUM
The digits sit on the ring of the dial, the operators + − × ÷ ride on the black finger wheel. Drag the wheel clockwise and the operators slide along the row of digits. Let go, and the sum is locked in.
WATCH IT ADD UP
The numbers lift off the dial and work themselves out step by step: × and ÷ first, then + and −, every step in its own color, popping into the result. Hit the number on the card and the phone dials.
CLOSE CASE AFTER CASE
Every case is a few calls to your contacts and one big call to the suspect. Eighteen contacts and ten suspects pick up with a line for your case. Collect stars, climb eight ranks from Rookie to Legend, and reopen any closed case to beat your best.
THE SWITCHBOARD
Pick the kind of call that suits you tonight, from a short local call to the hotline, and take as many calls as you like. A call log keeps your numbers.
TODAY'S TIP
Every day an anonymous caller leaves one long number on your desk. Get it through and your streak grows.
NO TIMER
Think as long as you like. Every dial can be solved, and short cards explain the basics the moment they matter.
