Fikra ("idea" in Arabic) is the ideas platform for Egypt's young people. If you have an idea that fixes a problem in your neighbourhood or governorate, or a small business you want to start, submit it in minutes and follow it step by step until it happens. Your idea is your right.
The app is in Arabic.
Why Fikra?
• Submit an idea in minutes
Give it a name, a field and your governorate, describe the problem, your solution, who it helps and what it needs to start. Attach a PDF, Word file or photo.
• Or just say it
Talk to the Fikra voice assistant and tell your idea in your own words. It writes a draft that you review and edit before sending. Nothing is sent without your OK.
• A tracking number for every idea
Every idea gets a tracking number so you always know where it stands.
• Follow every stage
Received, first review, specialist study, partnership, implementation started, with the review committee's notes at each step.
• Never miss an update
Get a notification when your idea moves to a new stage, and when someone supports it or comments on it.
• Public or private, you choose
Public ideas appear to the community after they pass the first review. Private ideas are seen only by you and the review committee.
• Back other people's ideas
Browse ideas from your governorate, support the ones you like, save them and join the discussion.
• Opportunities and challenges
Local challenges, incubation programmes and team-ups in your governorate. Register your interest and join in.
• Start your project
Describe your project, your customer and your budget, and get a practical step-by-step starter plan.
• Learn
Short guides: pitch your idea in 60 seconds, check the problem is real, build a team.
• Community and experts
Discussions with other young people, experts and mentors you can follow, and events you can book.
• Impact points
Every contribution earns points: submitting, supporting, reading, joining a challenge.
• Ask the Fikra assistant
Got a question? Type it in the chat and the assistant answers in seconds.
The pilot covers 7 governorates: Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Dakahlia, Beni Suef, Assiut and Qalyubia.
Browse without an account, or continue as a guest. To submit an idea, sign up with your mobile number and a password.
Your privacy matters: no ads and no tracking. The microphone is only used when you start a voice call with the assistant, and the camera only when you choose to attach a photo. You can delete your account and all your ideas yourself inside the app.
Fikra is an initiative under the umbrella of the Coordination of Parties Youth Leaders and Politicians (CPYP).
