Track assets and debts, watch your net worth update as you type
This app is a personal balance sheet: one place where everything you own and everything you owe sits side by side, categorised, and adds up to a single figure you can actually trust.
You add holdings and debts through an inline form — an amount and a category, nothing more ceremonious than that. A savings account, a car, a pension pot, a credit card balance, a loan still being paid down. The moment an entry is in, the ledger recalculates. Net worth, total assets, total debts: all three move together, so you see the effect of a figure straight away rather than waiting to reconcile anything by hand.
Alongside the totals, the app works out your debt-to-asset ratio and draws an allocation bar showing how your holdings are split across the categories you've chosen to use. It's the part most people never get round to doing themselves, and it's the part that tends to be revealing — one category quietly carrying most of the weight, or a debt load that reads very differently as a ratio than it does as a number.
Setup is brief and it's yours to shape. Pick the currency you think in, switch on the categories that match how your money is actually organised, and set a net worth target to aim at. Progress towards that target is then tracked for you and shown as you go, so the figure on screen has a direction as well as a value.
The trend screen is where the ledger becomes a history. Save a dated snapshot whenever you like — monthly, quarterly, after a large purchase or a debt finally cleared — and your net worth is charted over time from those points. Each snapshot keeps its per-category breakdown too, so you can look back and see not just that the total grew, but which part of the picture did the growing, and which debts shrank to make room for it.
That combination is the whole idea. A single running total for the quick answer, a ratio and an allocation bar for the shape of things, and a chart for the long view. Whether you're paying down borrowing, building towards a deposit, or simply want an honest figure instead of a vague sense of how things stand, the app keeps the arithmetic current and leaves the decisions to you.
Every entry stays in your own words and your own categories. Edit an amount as values change, revise your target when your plans do, and let the ledger do the rest.
