Layout Loco Roster

Layout Loco Roster is an offline-first locomotive roster for home model-railway operators who keep one named roster of motive power. Cold start opens a fullscreen shed-bay strip of locomotive cards so you can see identity, decoder address, hours, and service state before you leave the bench. Each card shows scale (N, HO, OO, O, G), road name and number, DCC address or analogue flag, cumulative running hours, last service date, and last wheel-clean date. When a service or clean interval is exceeded, the card carries a clear service-due accent. Add or edit locomotives with road, number, scale, manufacturer or model note, decoder address or analogue flag, purchase or in-service date, service interval hours, and wheel-clean interval days. A layout profile card stores layout name, scale focus, power type (DCC or DC), and the default intervals used when seeding new locos. For operating nights, open a simple session sheet: name the session, set start and end times, and build an ordered list of trains run—train name or number, assigned loco, optional consist note, and minutes run. Closing the session one-tap rolls each assigned loco’s minutes into cumulative running hours and updates the last-run timestamp. Per-loco service and wheel-clean logs record date, hours-at-service, and notes (oil, tires, decoder reset), refresh last-service or last-clean dates, and clear due flags. Filter and sort the roster by scale, road, address, hours high-to-low, or service-due first; search by road number or decoder address. Session history lists past operating nights with train counts, total minutes, and which locos turned wheels. Export a plain-text roster summary (road, number, address, hours, service dates) through the system share sheet—no cloud account. Demo data seeds a half-dozen sample locos and one sample ops session so the shed-bay is never empty on first launch. Not a train simulator, not a real-railway timetable, and not a generic notes catalog—just the roster and session sheet a home layout needs between ops nights.
