Real-lens viewfinder, timecode slate, sun path in AR and a virtual camera.
Kinelux VCam puts the cinematographer's and director's tools in your phone: a viewfinder with real focal lengths, a timecode slate, a light meter, the sun path in augmented reality and a virtual camera to walk through your 3D set. Everything lands in your Kinelux project.
DIRECTOR'S VIEWFINDER
• Pick your camera and lens (ARRI, RED, Sony, Blackmagic, Canon…): the phone shows the exact frame, sensor and focal length included.
• Frame lines, focal length comparison, storyboard overlay to line up the shot.
• Exposure tools (zebras, false color, histogram, locks), depth of field.
• Saved kits and custom gear (cameras, lens sets).
• Every photo or video keeps its GPS position, heading, camera, lens and sun position.
VIRTUAL CAMERA
• Scan the QR code shown on kinelux.app: the phone becomes the camera of your 3D plan (ARCore tracking).
• Walk through the set at real scale, set focal length, aperture, ISO, frame rate and format, record a take.
• Survey a room by hand: aim at corners, doors and windows, the plan lands in your project.
THE SUN, HOUR BY HOUR
• Sun path over the set in augmented reality, golden hour, blue hour, moon phases.
• Pick the shooting date and time to know where the light will be.
ON SET
• Digital slate: big red timecode, scene, shot, take, director and DOP, in landscape. Works without a project.
• Today's shots, takes and dictated notes, side-by-side continuity photos, script supervisor report as PDF.
• Light meter: illuminance in lux and color temperature.
• Today's call sheet, shoot-day notification, widgets and app shortcuts.
CONNECTED TO YOUR KINELUX PROJECT
Scouting shots, surveyed rooms and takes land in your project on kinelux.app: location map, gallery, lighting plan, storyboard. Offline, everything stays on the phone and syncs later.
The viewfinder, slate, light meter and sun work without an account. A Kinelux account (created on kinelux.app) syncs your projects.
Fingerprint, face or PIN lock, interface in English and French.
