Whaloon: Whale Study Timer

Whaloon is a calm study timer. While you study, a humpback whale swims slowly across a painted sea. When your focus ends, the whale comes up to breathe. When you reach your daily goal, it leaps out of the water. FOCUS WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS - Pick a subject and a time from 5 to 180 minutes, or switch to the stopwatch and end whenever you are done. Add a short break after if you like. - Need five more minutes? One tap adds them, and the screen shows when the focus will end. - While the timer runs, there are no tabs, streaks or ads on the screen. Just the time left and the whale. - An alarm tells you when the time is up, even with the screen off. - Turn on Do Not Disturb for as long as each focus lasts. - Pause when you need to, or save the time you have studied so far. - Pause, resume or add time right from the notification without opening the app. A long pause gets one gentle reminder. A DESK SCREEN THAT DIMS BY ITSELF The whole app sits in a calm, dark sea. Leave a running timer untouched for 10 seconds and the buttons fade, the screen dims and the whale turns into a soft glow. Tap to light it up again. In a dark room the screen turns deep red, so it is easier on your eyes. The screen stays on while charging, and everything shifts a little every minute to protect the display. Even with auto-rotate off, one button turns it upright or sideways. YOUR HISTORY - Study for 10 minutes in a day to keep your streak going. The day turns at 4 a.m., so studying past midnight still counts for the day you started. - Every 7 study days earn you a buoy (up to 2). A buoy keeps your streak safe on a day you could not study. - The calendar shows every day you studied and what you studied. 40 BADGES Each badge is a sea creature with its own goal. Earn them for study days, streaks, hours, focus habits, daily goals and subjects: a jellyfish, a sea turtle, a narwhal, an orca and more. Almost there shows the three you are closest to, and four secret badges hide their picture and goal until you earn them.
