Win's Doodle Jump includes spring platforms, fixed surfaces with a coiled spring on top that, when landed on, propel the character upward at a significantly greater height than a standard jump from a normal platform. A spring platform functions like a solid platform in terms of reliability: it stays in place and does not break. The difference is purely in the output of the bounce. Where a solid platform sends the character to the platform immediately above, a spring platform can reach two or three layers higher in a single jump. This makes spring platforms valuable route shortcuts. Landing on a spring platform in a dense section of crumbling or moving platforms can bypass several difficult steps and land you safely on a solid platform well above the tricky cluster. The heightened bounce also creates risk. If a spring platform is positioned near the edge of the screen and you jump from it without horizontal adjustment, the character can fly upward into a poor position, too far left or right to reach nearby platforms above. Spring platforms are one of five types in Win's Doodle Jump. All platform mechanics are available offline with no account required.
