A storm is gathering over the plain, and the houses below are waiting for you to protect them. In Irmolqueta Surge, lightning from each cloud jumps to the nearest piece of metal: either the tip of a rod or a house roof. Your job is to make sure it is always a rod. Every strike is numbered, and the countdown is already running. Drag copper rods from the tray and set them down on the stormy plain. Then look at the distances. For every strike, a rod has to be closer than any house. If you leave a gap, the arc goes straight to a roof. The early levels give you enough rods to cover each strike in turn. Later on, you get fewer rods than strikes, so one well-placed rod has to catch two arcs at once. To find that spot, you need to work out where two strikes overlap and where the houses are close enough to compete. Some clouds also drift across the sky before they strike, so you have to place each rod for where the lightning will land, not where the cloud is now. Irmolqueta Surge has 15 levels. Each one is a small puzzle about distance and timing, played against the countdown. Look over the plain, choose your positions and drop the rods into place. When the storm breaks, every bolt should land on copper and none on a house.
