Lessons Left

Lessons Left keeps track of lesson packs for private teachers and coaches. When a lesson ends, tap “Lesson done” next to the student’s name. Their lessons left go down by 1. ■ Today’s list Set lesson weekdays for each student, and that day’s list appears on its own. Tapped by mistake? Undo it. The undone line stays in the records with a line through it. Absences and same-day cancellations are recorded separately. For a same-day cancellation, you choose whether to deduct 1 lesson. For sibling or two-student lessons, mark several students done at once. Write a note for each student and read it before the next lesson. ■ Lesson packs Use 8-lesson, 10-lesson or 20-lesson packs, or packs with an expiry date. When a pack runs out, register the next one. A pack you register early is used after the current one ends. Enter the agreed fee, and each student shows as paid in full, partly paid or unpaid. Payments made in parts and refunds can be recorded too. If you take a break, you can push back expiry dates by the length of the break. ■ Calendar and summary In the Calendar view, a dot under a date marks a lesson that day. For a day you missed, add a record with that date. Summary shows fees received and fees delivered side by side, by week, month, quarter or year. It also lists students with fees due and lessons past their expiry date. ■ Keep students and parents informed Add a number for a parent or the student, and a text about lessons left, fees or the expiry date is filled in from a template. The name, lessons left and expiry date change for each student. You check it and send it from your phone’s messaging app. When a student asks “How many are left?”, open the Show screen. Other students’ names do not appear. You can also send a parent the lessons left, the expiry date and the lesson days, as text or as an image. ■ Your records stay on your phone You do not need an account. Records are saved on this device. To move to a new phone, use a backup file. Before you restore, you can check each student’s lessons left. You get a morning reminder 7 days before a pack expires and when 1 lesson is left. You can also turn on reminders for fees not yet received.
