Train reading pace and check comprehension in short guided sessions
Find a reading pace you can actually use, not just a bigger number.
PacePop pairs short reading practice with simple meaning checks, so pace is always shown together with comprehension. Establish a baseline, choose a five- or ten-minute Guided Lab target, compare three presentation styles, and see a clear next step based on completed sessions. Plan durations are estimates from the selected passages, pace, and time for meaning checks.
What you can do:
• establish a baseline with a timed passage and two questions;
• practise with a moving pacer, phrase chunks, or one-word RSVP;
• paste or import 20–3000 words of your own plain text for a private practice that is not saved to history;
• read 30 English and 30 Russian passages across three density levels;
• choose a three-round or six-round Guided Lab across all three styles;
• adjust reading text size, line spacing and paper or high-contrast appearance;
• review recent pace and comprehension in Progress;
• export a JSON report of progress and selected settings through Android’s save dialog;
• open “Why this pace?” to see the results behind a recommendation.
Pace suggestions change cautiously. A faster target is suggested only after strong comprehension on different passages. Completed rounds remain visible in Progress, so you can stop between rounds and return later.
PacePop works offline, with no account, advertising, notifications, purchases, or required network connection for reading practice. Reading history is kept in the app’s private storage and can be deleted in the app. You can explicitly save a JSON progress report to a document provider you choose; a chosen provider may sync it in the cloud. Reports exclude your own text, answers and unfinished reading checkpoints. They cannot be imported to restore progress, and deleting local progress does not delete exported files.
Optional Firebase usage analytics and crash diagnostics are off by default. You can enable or disable them in About & privacy. If enabled, Firebase may receive basic usage events, crash diagnostics, app-installation identifiers, app/device and install-attribution information, and approximate location from a masked IP address; it does not use GPS. Your texts, file names and paths, answers, reading pace, comprehension results, and reading history are not sent to diagnostics. Exporting a report does not enable diagnostics or send a custom export event. Advertising-ID collection is disabled.
PacePop is an educational reading-practice app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. If you have concerns about reading, attention, or your health, consult a qualified healthcare professional. The app does not promise a particular speed increase.
नया क्या है
Adjust reading text size, line spacing and contrast in all three modes. Save a JSON progress report through Android’s save dialog; it excludes your texts and answers and cannot restore progress. Existing reading history is preserved. Reading practice works offline with no ads or purchases. Optional diagnostics remain off until you enable them.
