Dog Whistle is a practical frequency generator and training aid producing high-frequency sounds from 1.0 kHz to 22.0 kHz. Use it completely offline anytime without an internet connection. ◆ Precise Frequency Tuning - Full 1.0 to 22.0 kHz range: Tune frequency precisely in 0.1 kHz increments. - Flexible controls: Drag the tuner ruler, tap +0.1 / -0.1 kHz buttons, or enter exact numbers directly. - Quick presets: Jump immediately to 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22 kHz with a single tap. ◆ Safe and Convenient Playback - Hold to play: Sound plays only while pressing the whistle key and stops when released. - Keep playing switch: Turn on latch mode to start sound with one tap and stop with another. - Safety timer: Automatically stops continuous sound after the set time limit (30s, 60s, or 120s, default 60s). - Auto-stop protection: Sound stops immediately if you leave the screen, receive a call, or another app plays audio. - Safety prompt: A safety sheet reminds you before your first sound not to use it close to human or pet ears. ◆ Custom Training Signals - Built-in signals: Standard presets: 'Short x3' (for recall) and 'Long x1' (for stop). - Up to 20 custom signals: Set name (up to 20 chars), frequency (1.0-22.0 kHz), duration (0.1-3.0s), and repeats (1-5 times). - Preview and controls: Listen to previews before saving, and start or stop playback smoothly from the Training tab. ◆ How to Use & Training Guide - Start: Try 14-18 kHz (opens at 18.0 kHz). - Why tune: Dogs react differently; nudge by 0.1 kHz. - Train: Reward right after sound; keep rounds short. Never punish. - Guide: 3-step intro, ? button, and web guide. ◆ Audio Output and Device Safeguards - Output routing: Choose between System default or Phone speaker only. - Connection warnings: Alerts when connected to Bluetooth devices with a button to switch to phone speaker. Warns when media volume is 0. - Preserved state: Frequency, mode, and settings are preserved across screen rotations, screen turn-offs, and restarts. ◆ Appearance and Preferences - Theme: Supports System, Light, and Dark modes. - Sound and haptics: Toggle button sounds and vibration feedback independently. - Language: Choose between System default, English, and Korean. - Accessibility: TalkBack screen reader support with slider controls and accessible announcements. ◆ Important Notes and Disclaimers - Intended as a dog training aid and reference utility. - Every dog's hearing and reaction differ by breed, age, and temperament; no specific behavioral effect is guaranteed. - Do not play sounds close to human or animal ears. - Phone speakers may play sounds above 18 kHz weakly or not at all due to hardware limitations. - If you hear nothing, verify audio output at an audible frequency like 8 kHz first. - No user accounts, login, or cloud backup servers. ◆ Advertising and In-App Purchase - Free to use with a single banner ad at the bottom. - Interstitial ads do not appear on the home whistle screen and will not show within 2 seconds after sound stops. - Interstitial ads only appear at natural break points when leaving the training tab, with at least a 3-minute cooldown and at most 2 per session. - A one-time in-app purchase (Remove ads) is available in Settings to remove all ads permanently.
