Need money urgently? Compare personal loans: amount, interest and EMI
Need money urgently and want to know what the loan will actually cost you? See personal loans and instant loan apps in one place: how much is given, for how long, what the interest rate is, and what each lender asks for. Amounts run from a few thousand rupees to several lakh, and the terms differ far more between lenders than most people expect.
WHAT YOU WILL FIND
— Personal loans paid back in monthly EMIs, from small amounts to several lakh
— Short-term and urgent cash loans, for a few weeks until salary
— Loans against an Aadhaar card and PAN, with the documents each lender actually asks for
— Amounts, tenures, interest rates and processing fees placed side by side
— The real requirements: age, monthly income, KYC documents, a bank account in your own name
— Lenders registered with the Reserve Bank of India as banks or NBFCs
CALCULATORS
— EMI calculator: enter amount, tenure and rate, see the monthly instalment
— Total cost: how much you repay above the amount borrowed
— Amortisation schedule month by month: how much goes to principal, how much to interest
— Budget load: what share of your monthly income the EMI would take
— Prepayment: how much shorter the loan gets if you pay a little extra each month
— Compare two offers side by side, with the saving worked out at the end
— Eligibility: the amount that fits comfortably into your income
A FULL WORKED EXAMPLE
A personal loan of ₹50,000 for 12 months at 18% per year on a reducing balance:
— Monthly EMI: ₹4,584
— Total repayment: ₹55,008
— Interest paid: ₹5,008
— Processing fee, typically 1% to 3%, charged once at disbursal: ₹500 to ₹1,500
— GST on the processing fee and on late payment charges: added separately
— Late payment penalty: charged per missed instalment, set by the lender
A longer tenure changes the picture. ₹1,00,000 over 24 months at 16% gives an EMI of ₹4,896, but the interest comes to ₹17,511. The EMI feels lighter every month, yet you pay far more in total. That trade-off is the whole decision, and the app shows both sides of it for every plan you build.
WHAT THE RBI RULES SAY
Before any digital loan is finalised, the lender must give you a Key Fact Statement — a one-page document showing the Annual Percentage Rate, every fee, the total amount repayable, the tenure and the grievance redressal contact. The APR has to capture all costs in one comparable number, so it is the figure worth comparing between offers, not the headline interest rate.
There is also a cooling-off period. If you change your mind after signing, you can exit the loan by repaying only the principal and the proportionate APR, with no penalty. And the money must be transferred directly from the bank or NBFC into your own verified account — never through an app, an agent or a pool account. If someone asks you to route it differently, that is a warning sign.
WORKS SIMPLY
Every calculation runs on your phone. No account, no registration, no phone number, no documents uploaded anywhere.
IMPORTANT
This app is a calculator and information tool. We are not a bank, an NBFC, a lender or a loan agent. We do not lend money, do not accept applications, do not transfer funds and do not decide who receives credit. We do not guarantee approval and do not promise any particular interest rate to anyone.
Every figure here is an estimate based on what you enter. Real terms — the rate, the fees and the eligibility criteria — are set by each bank and NBFC individually and will differ. Confirm the final numbers with the lender, and read the Key Fact Statement, before you commit to anything.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Reserve Bank of India (rbi.org.in), any government body, bank or NBFC. References to regulations are given for information only.
नया क्या है
The app now works on Android 7.0 and 7.1, so it installs on older phones too.
