Need a loan? Count the hulog, total interest and payoff date before you sign
Need a loan? Count it first. Digido is a loan calculator and payoff planner for any loan you pay in equal monthly amounts: a personal loan, a salary loan, a cash loan, a car or motorcycle loan, or a housing loan. Put in the amount, the number of months and the interest rate, and see the monthly hulog, the total interest and the total you will pay, before you sign anything.
Then list the loans you already have and see when your last payment falls.
Everything is computed on your phone. Works offline, no sign-up, no ID and no mobile number.
LOAN CALCULATOR
• Monthly amortization, total interest and total payment for any amount, rate and term
• Salary loan, personal loan and cash loan: check the hulog against your sahod before you file
• Car, motorcycle and housing loan: see what a longer term really costs you
• Useful for the figures you want to check before filing a Pag-IBIG housing loan or an SSS salary loan
FOUR MORE TOOLS
1. Magkanong hulog ang kaya ko. From your monthly income and the hulog you already pay, see the monthly amount that still fits your budget.
2. Loan comparison. Two sets of terms side by side, compared on the total you pay and not only on the monthly.
3. Early repayment. See how many months come off and how much interest you save by adding a fixed amount to every payment.
4. Debt load. The part of your income that already goes to loan payments, and what is left.
PAYOFF PLAN (PLANO)
List each loan you are paying now: the remaining balance, the rate and the monthly payment. The app works out:
• how long before you are debt-free and the interest you still have to pay
• what changes when you add extra every month
• two ways to order the loans, highest interest first or smallest balance first, with the cost of each
• your loans as numbered steps, each with the time it takes to finish
Useful before you take another loan, before you agree to refinance, and when you want to know which loan to finish first. The loans you enter are saved on your phone only. Nothing is sent out.
SAMPLE COMPUTATION
A ₱150,000 personal loan for 24 months: at 18 percent a year the hulog is about ₱7,490 and the interest about ₱29,730; at 24 percent it is about ₱7,930 a month and ₱40,340 in interest. Six points of rate cost about ₱10,600 on this loan.
A ₱800,000 car loan for 36 months at 10 percent a year: about ₱25,810 a month and about ₱929,300 in all. Stretch it to 60 months and the monthly drops to about ₱17,000, but the total grows to about ₱1,019,860.
Move any number and the result changes right away.
ALSO INSIDE
• Price per unit: compare two pack sizes and see which gives more for your money
• Principal and interest charts, and the payment schedule with and without extra payments
WHAT THIS APP DOES NOT DO
• It does not lend money and does not release cash
• It does not take applications, IDs or payslips
• It does not list lenders or lending apps and does not refer you to any
• It does not access your contacts or your credit record
• It does not give financial or legal advice
IMPORTANT
Digido is a calculator only. It is not a bank, a lending company or a financing company, and it is not connected to any lender, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Pag-IBIG Fund, the Social Security System, the Credit Information Corporation or any other government agency.
All figures are estimates from what you enter. Interest is computed on the diminishing balance, with the yearly rate divided by twelve. Many car and personal loans are quoted at an add-on rate, which gives a higher monthly payment for the same percentage. Fees, insurance and penalties are not included. Check the final cost in your own loan documents.
The app is free and has no ads.
