YellowHat Kids: Online Safety

YellowHat Kids helps families spot possible bullying, threats and other concerns in Android app notifications. Notification text is checked on the child's device, giving families a starting point for supportive conversations. ON-DEVICE NOTIFICATION CHECKS • Choose which apps YellowHat checks. • Review notifications flagged as potentially concerning. • Add ignored words to remove selected terms before analysis. • Protect settings with a parent PIN. • Continue local checks offline after the initial setup and model download. USE KIDS ON ITS OWN YellowHat Kids is free to use on the child's Android device, with no Parent account required. Android 13 or later and notification access are required. Monitoring starts after you grant access and select apps. OPTIONAL PARENT APP YellowHat Parent can provide remote safety alerts and selected settings controls when linked to Kids with an active subscription for that child device. Remote features require an internet connection on both devices. Kids can continue local checks without the Parent app. KNOW THE LIMITS YellowHat checks only notification text Android makes available from the apps you select. It cannot read complete conversations or check images, videos or voice messages. Hidden previews and missing notifications can limit what it checks. Automated checks can miss concerns or flag harmless text. An alert is a prompt to review the context and talk with your child, not proof that harm has occurred. PRIVACY AND HELP Notification analysis runs on the child's device. Linking the optional Parent app enables the remote features described in our privacy policy.
