Lost the remote? Batteries dead? Use your phone as the remote for your VIZIO TV. No account, no sign-in, no ads. Pair once and you are set in seconds. VizMote is a free Wi-Fi remote. No in-app purchases, nothing locked. WHICH TVS • VIZIO SmartCast TVs (most 2016 and newer models) and VIZIO Home Screen TVs • onn. TVs that run VIZIO OS • Not for onn. Roku TV or Google TV models, VIZIO TVs made before 2016, soundbars or other brands PAIRED IN SECONDS 1. Put your phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi. 2. Open VizMote. It looks for your TV. 3. Tap your TV and type the 4-digit code it shows. TV not found? Add it by IP address. More than one TV? Save them all. THE REMOTE YOU KNOW • A big D-pad with OK, Back, Home, Menu and Info • Volume and mute. Hold a key and it keeps going. • Prefer swiping? Swipe to move, tap for OK. • Play, pause, rewind and fast-forward • Channel keys and a number pad on TVs with a tuner INPUTS AND APPS • Switch HDMI inputs with one tap. The chips show your TV's own input names. • Open your TV's apps from the Apps tab and pin favorites to the remote. TYPE FROM YOUR PHONE • Search and sign in to TV apps with your phone's keyboard. • Tap the mic and speak. Your phone's own speech dialog turns it into text and VizMote types it. VizMote does not need the microphone permission. • The TV accepts English letters, numbers and symbols only. CAST TO THE TV • Send videos, photos and web links from the Cast tab. • Cast support depends on your TV model and firmware. POWER, SLEEP AND SCREEN • Turn the TV on from your phone when its Power Mode is set to Quick Start. In Eco Mode a sleeping TV cannot hear Wi-Fi; VizMote shows you what to change. • Phones with an IR blaster can also turn the TV on by infrared. That is the only infrared key. • Sleep timer: 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes. It runs on your phone, so keep the phone on the same Wi-Fi. • Power off, screen off with the sound on, and restart (it asks first), on TVs that support them • A volume slider that shows your TV's real level MAKE IT YOURS • Signature or Classic layout, dark or light theme, large keys, left-handed mode, haptics • Home-screen widgets, a Quick Settings tile and an optional remote in your notifications • Use your phone's volume buttons for the TV, if you like • Available in 25 languages WHAT YOU NEED • Phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi network, with any VPN turned off • Android 8.0 or newer PRIVACY • No account. No ads. Anonymous usage and crash reports help us fix bugs; you can turn them off in Settings. • Your pairing stays on your phone, encrypted. • Commands go from your phone straight to your TV. App names and icons load from the internet. PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN WORDS • Network and Wi-Fi: to find your TV and send it your taps • Notifications: only if you turn on the notification remote • Infrared: only on phones with a blaster • Also: vibration and background work while you cast HELP TV models and firmware vary.
