No ads, no account, no subscription. SUPPORTED PHONES Safelight shoots RAW (DNG) on phones whose camera offers it, including many recent Pixel and Galaxy models. On phones without RAW it runs in Lite mode, developing the look from the cleanest frame the camera can give. The app tells you which one your phone has before you take a picture. SIX ORIGINAL LOOKS Every look was designed from scratch for this app. No film-stock imitations, no filter packs to buy. - Neutral: the original, developed cleanly - Daylight: soft color negative. Open shadows, highlights that melt instead of clip, skin that looks like skin - Silver: classic black and white with real grain - Lamplight: night and tungsten. Lights bloom red-orange, shadows lean teal - Slide: crisp transparency. Deep blacks, saturated but accurate color - Bypass: muted color, hard contrast. Gritty and cinematic Plus Matte, a faded-print recipe that shows what recipes can do. Every look has a strength slider, so a little or a lot is up to you. SEE IT AS YOU SHOOT The look renders live in the viewfinder, so you frame the finished photo, not a guess. Hold the Look chip to peek at Neutral. Tap to focus and meter, lock exposure and focus, dial exposure compensation, switch lenses, pick an aspect ratio, and use the volume keys as a shutter. GRAY DAYS STAY GRAY Film-look apps tend to turn overcast light yellow. Safelight's white balance and Adapt to light read the scene, keep gray days gray and shade neutral, and let lamplight stay warm. Fix any cast later with temperature and tint sliders, presets, or a gray-card sample. REAL GRAIN AND HALATION Grain is added in density, scaled to the frame, so it looks the same at any size. Halation blooms around bright lights the way it does on film. Both have their own sliders. Sharpening is yours to set, and export is always full resolution. EVERY SHOT IS SAVED The shutter writes your photo before anything else happens. Switch cameras or go home a moment after the shutter: the shot is still there. If the phone gets too hot, the preview backs off; your photos stay safe. EDIT WITHOUT LOSING ANYTHING Your original stays untouched. Every edit is a small recipe saved beside it, so you can change the look, crop, white balance, grain or halation any time, hold to compare with the original, and save your own recipes to reuse.
