A crowded wooden tray, a jam of fruit blocks, and one golden block that needs a way out. That is the whole of this sliding-block logic puzzle, and it is more than enough to keep you turning the problem over in your head. Every block on the tray is locked to its own track. Flat blocks travel left and right along their row; upright blocks travel up and down their column. Nothing lifts, nothing rotates, nothing jumps the queue. You simply drag pieces along the grooves they were cut for, and the entire challenge lies in choosing the order. Shift the wrong block first and you wall yourself in. Shift the right one and three more suddenly have room to breathe. The goal never changes: clear the row in front of the golden fruit block and slide it out through the glowing gate at the edge of the tray. Reaching that moment is where the thinking happens. You learn to read a tray backwards, starting from the gate and working out which piece is truly in the way, then which piece is blocking that one, and so on down the chain until you find the single move that unlocks everything else. Experienced players will recognise the pleasure of spotting a four-move sequence at a glance; newcomers will enjoy the slower route of trying, undoing and trying again. There are 30 trays in all, and they are arranged to teach as much as they test. The early ones are open and generous, with space to experiment and a solution you can almost see straight away. As you progress, the trays fill up. Long blocks stretch across the board and pin whole columns in place. Short ones wedge themselves into the only gap that mattered. By the later trays, the pieces are tangled closely enough that a single misjudged drag can cost you the position you spent a minute building, and the satisfaction of finally easing the golden block free is correspondingly greater. The controls are as plain as the rules. Put a finger on a block, push it along its track, lift off. No timer counts down at you, no score hovers in the corner demanding attention. You can sit with a difficult tray for as long as you like, nudge pieces back and forth, and let the answer arrive in its own time. That makes it an easy thing to pick up for two minutes in a queue and an equally easy thing to lose half an hour to in a comfortable chair. It is a quiet sort of puzzle, built on clear wooden shapes, honest geometry and a single goal you understand within seconds of looking at the screen.
