Total Casino

Total Casino lets you study index fossils in a simple, interactive drawer. The interface shows a geological column ten periods tall, each band the thickness of its duration. Every fossil is plotted on this column, and you can choose one as the current marker or split a bed to view another. The app groups fossils into six drawers: arthropods, cephalopods, shells, plants, colonies, and forams. You can sort them by age, name, or specimen size, and view only the fossils you have added to your deck. Each Horizon Card displays a fossil on a timeline from 540 million years ago to the present, along with its period, age, specimen size, type locality and the zone it dates. You can add the card to your Core Order deck and log its preservation type. Core Order challenges you with ten rounds of stratigraphy. In each round, you drill two cores through three fossils and select the stack in correct chronological order. The app records every round and keeps your best run. The Hammer Log tracks your collector name, seals earned, most recently opened horizon cards, and counts of preservations and cores logged. All data is stored locally on your device; no registration, accounts, or cloud sync is required with Total Casino.
