Ice Fishing lets you verify each audio input manually, one channel at a time.
Ice Fishing is designed for sound engineers who need to perform a quick visual check of every input before a show. The app displays each channel strip with its peak level compared to a configurable gain window, and indicates whether phantom power should be enabled.
The app lets you set a target peak level on a dBFS scale and instantly shows whether the reading falls within the -18 to -6 dBFS range, helping you decide if gain adjustment is required. It also identifies the correct phantom power setting for each microphone, distinguishing condensers and active DIs from ribbon mics.
You can tap “Signal OK” to confirm a channel and automatically move to the next strip, processing up to 14 inputs in sequence. The interface highlights the current strip, making it easy to follow the signal chain from source to desk.
A visual map shows the stage layout with each input linked to its corresponding stage‑box socket, allowing you to trace silent, humming, distorted, or crackling channels along the entire chain. The tool follows EBU Tech R68 and IEC 61938 standards for alignment and phantom power handling.
All content is included in the app and works completely offline. With Ice Fishing, your favorites, notes, progress, and personal data are stored only on your device, with no registration, accounts, or cloud synchronization required.
