Crank Quarter

Crank Quarter is an offline puzzle game played on one pane of lake ice. Each board is a small grid of cells holding fish, slush plugs, weed clumps and anchor stones. Tap a brass pin where four cells meet and that two by two quarter turns one quarter clockwise. A flick across the pin turns it back. Nothing is added or destroyed. Neighbouring pins share two cells, so the puzzle is the order of overlapping turns. An anchor stone seizes any pin it touches, and a frost pin works only twice. A chart is solved when every fish sits over a cut hole at once. There is no timer and no fail state, rewind is free, and your turn count is graded against the chart par. Fifty-four charts run across four chapters. Brass teeth buy crank heads and a move preview at the Crank Bench, and the Turning Log keeps your best turns per chart.
