Hear a secret code of sounds and crack it by ear, one attempt at a time.
Cryptone is a deduction game you play with your ears. A secret code made of sounds is hidden: listen to it, rebuild it from the pads and read the pegs to find out how close you are.
Every pad has its own timbre, shape and colour, and plays its sound when you tap it. Build your attempt, listen to it before you try, and narrow the code down until you crack it.
• Six timbres to start (Bell, Flute, Bass, Pluck, Breath, Siren) and four more with the extra timbres pack (Glass, Drum, Voice, Laser)
• Listen to the secret code as often as you like, tap the pads to fill your row and listen to your attempt before you press Try
• After every attempt you get pegs: a black peg is the right sound in the right place, a white peg is the right sound in the wrong place. You have 8 attempts, 10 for codes of six sounds
• Three levels: Easy (four sounds, no repeats), Hard (four sounds, repeats allowed) and Expert (five sounds, repeats allowed)
• Daily challenge: a new code for every level each day, the same for everyone, with a streak of days in a row. With the extra pack there is a fourth, extreme code
• Campaign "Frequencies": 30 fixed codes in three chapters, up to three stars per code depending on the attempts you use. Win five codes in a chapter to open the next one. The pack adds a bonus chapter, "Spectrum", with six sounds out of ten timbres
• Free play with random codes, as many as you like
• Ear only mode: the pads lose their colours and icons and only the positions are left. A win counts double in your points
• Hints: reveal one sound of the code in its place, by watching a short optional video or with hints you own
• The history shows every attempt with its pegs, and you can play any of them again
• Statistics with games, wins, average attempts, daily streaks and how many attempts you needed. A short tutorial in three steps at the first launch
• Sounds great with headphones or a good speaker. Available in 10 languages
Cryptone shows ads: a banner in the menu and, once in a while, an ad after a game is over, never while you are playing. The video for a hint is always your choice. Optional purchases: no ads, the extra timbres pack and a pack of 10 hints.
