Crimson Ledger

Crimson Ledger - a timing game built around a horizontal scale with a pointer that slides back and forth along it. A green zone sits somewhere on the scale, and a large hammer button at the bottom of the screen strikes at the exact spot where the pointer is at that moment. A strike inside the green zone adds points, and the zone then jumps to a new position on the scale. A strike outside the zone takes away one of three lives, shakes the scale and leaves a burst of sparks at the pointer. Every four accurate strikes raise the level: the pointer moves faster and the green zone becomes a little narrower, so later levels leave less room for error. Points per strike grow with the current level, and every five accurate strikes in a row raise the series counter shown at the top of the screen, while a miss drops it back to the start. The match ends when no lives remain, and the final panel shows the score of the match, the best score and the total points balance. A pause button freezes the pointer at any moment and offers resume, restart and a return to the menu. Points collected across matches go toward four upgrades: a slower pointer, a wider green zone, extra lives and a higher starting series, each with several levels and a cost that grows from level to level. The settings panel shows the best score with a reset option, changes the pointer speed to easy, normal or hard, turns shake and spark effects on or off and clears all upgrade progress. The best score, upgrade levels, chosen speed and effect settings stay saved after the app is closed.
