PureScan

PureScan brings code reading, document scanning and text recognition together in one app. No ads and no account required. QR codes and barcodes Read codes with your camera or from an image. Collect multiple results with continuous scanning and export them as CSV. Create QR codes from text or links and share them as images. Documents and PDFs Photograph a page or import an image, adjust the crop and perspective, rotate pages and choose colour or black and white. Reorder multiple pages and save them as a PDF, or export a single page as an image. Text from images Recognise text with OCR, edit it, then copy, share or export it as TXT. After the initial download of your chosen language models, recognition works offline on your device. Available languages include Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Polish. Recognised text is exported separately: this version does not create searchable PDFs. NFC and radio tools View information from compatible NFC tags and the available Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular and GNSS data. Available features depend on your hardware, Android version and granted permissions. NFC reading does not modify tags. An archive on your device Keep scans, images, PDFs, text and results in the app’s archive. Export and share files whenever you choose. Documents and OCR text are processed on your device without uploading them to a cloud service. Inside PureScan: for open source enthusiasts Code reading uses ZXing-C++ and ZXing Java. Documents and perspective correction rely on OpenCV; OCR uses Tesseract4Android, Tesseract, Leptonica and the tessdata_best models. The app adapts selected code from Binary Eye for QR rendering, Network Survey for Wi-Fi security classification, MIFARE Classic Tool for reading compatible tags and Zynkware Document Scanner for document perspective transformation. The interface and archive are built with Kotlin, kotlinx.coroutines, AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Material 3, CameraX, Room and DataStore, drawing on the work of the Android Open Source Project and JetBrains. Native components include libjpeg, libpng and LLVM libc++/libc++abi; OpenCV also retains components and notices from SoftFloat, fdlibm and Android cpufeatures.
