Live Earth Map: GPS Camera

Live Earth Map puts what is happening on our planet on one satellite map, and turns your phone into a GPS map camera that stamps every photo with the time, the place and the coordinates. THE EARTH, DAY BY DAY • Satellite map by date: a true-colour satellite view of the whole planet, made daily from NASA's VIIRS instrument, labelled with the date it was taken. Step back through the last seven days and watch storms, smoke and snow move across the world map. • Day and night: see where the sun is overhead right now and where night is falling, with the sun position on the earth map. • Earthquake tracker: earthquakes reported by the U.S. Geological Survey in the past day, or magnitude 2.5 and above in the past week, sized by magnitude. Tap a quake for its place, depth and time. • Aurora forecast: NOAA's latest northern lights and southern lights forecast drawn on the map, with the current aurora chance for each hemisphere. • Satellite tracker: thousands of satellites, including Starlink, with positions computed on your phone from public orbital data. • ISS tracker: follow the International Space Station every few seconds with its altitude and speed. With location permission, see the space station's passes over the next 48 hours and which ones you can see with your own eyes. • Fire tracker and wildfire map: fire detections over the Americas and the Pacific from NOAA's GOES weather satellites, updated about every 10 minutes with a short delay. • Volcano map: 1,609 volcanoes worldwide with their type, elevation and status. • Live earth cam and webcams: find public live camera streams from cities, beaches and landmarks on the live earth map. Each earth cam opens in your video app or browser, outside Live Earth Map. GPS MAP CAMERA • Timestamp camera: stamp photos with the date and time, the street address, GPS coordinates and altitude. • Add a note, like a project or site name, and the compass heading to the stamp, then find photos by note later. • Three stamp styles: Classic, Map (with a regional mini map of where you stood) and Minimal. • Works with approximate location too; the stamp then says so. • Your stamped photos stay in the app's own library. Share them, show them on the map, or also save them to your gallery. Use it as a GPS camera for site visits, inspections, travel logs and field notes, and as a live map of the world for the news of the day: an earthquake, an aurora night, a wildfire or a space station pass. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no sign-up, no ads and no analytics. • Stamped photos are stored on your phone and leave it only when you share them. • Location is used to stamp your photos and to work out space station passes; the street address is looked up through your phone's location service.
