Hive is a messenger with AI. You message and call people, and the AI helps right in the chat: translating, summarizing, reading aloud and creating images and videos. Describe an image, and it lands in the chat, or just for you in “My notes”. One sentence becomes a video. 15 image models, 7 video models. Choose “Podcast” before you video call Jonas, and the conversation becomes a podcast. Each side records itself, then Hive puts both tracks together into one episode. Up to 95 minutes long. Jae-won writes to you in Korean. On request, Hive translates it into one of 13 languages. The original stays, and the translation appears below it. With Lena, one chat for the project and one for the trip, each with its own name. One person, several chats. Away from the group chat for two weeks? Hive sums up the latest messages (up to 200) in a few lines. Can't listen to a voice message right now? Just read it. And Hive reads messages aloud to you, in one of four voices. What's just between the two of you goes in a Secret Chat: text only, end-to-end encrypted, like one-on-one calls. Regular chats, groups, media, call recordings, group calls and podcasts are not. Once you have both set it up, you can turn a one-on-one chat into a Secret Chat. Messages you write from then on are encrypted. No password, no phone number. PRIVACY You are the customer, not the product. No ads, no selling your data. Hive doesn't train AI on your chats. Before you first use AI, Hive asks for your consent. When anyone in a chat uses AI, the content goes to the provider doing the work, mostly in the US. When someone uses AI on other people's messages, everyone in the chat sees a note. There is no AI in Secret Chats. Chats and media are stored in Western Europe. You can delete your account right in the app. WHAT IT COSTS Messaging, one-on-one calls and Secret Chats cost nothing, and so do group calls with up to 4 cameras. AI uses credits, and you get 100 credits free every month. With 5 or more cameras, the group call view costs credits per minute, but only after you confirm. For images and videos, the price is on the button before you tap. If an image or video fails, you pay nothing for it. Plus, Pro and Studio give you: • 500, 1,200 or 4,000 credits a month • 50, 100 or 500 GB of storage instead of 5 GB • Bigger group calls • Translation included up to a monthly limit • As many chats per person as you like (up to four on the Free plan) • Podcasts, AI images and AI videos without the visible Hive mark Each plan comes as a monthly subscription or as a prepaid year. Credit packs are sold separately. Credits you buy never expire as long as your account exists. Monthly credits reset to your plan's amount on the first of each month, and unused ones expire. Payment is made through Google Play. A monthly subscription renews automatically until you cancel it: in the Play Store under “Payments & subscriptions” > “Subscriptions”, or in the app under “Manage subscription”.
