No subscription • Every other language reads with your phone's own voices • The app hears which language a text is written in and picks a voice for it Read anything aloud • Open PDF, Word (.docx), EPUB, FB2, PowerPoint (.pptx), OpenDocument (.odt, .odp), RTF, HTML, Markdown, TXT and subtitle (.srt, .vtt) files, in the app or with "Open with" and Share • PDFs sound like the book: page numbers and running headers are skipped, and sentences go on across pages • Paste or type text, share text from any app, or select text anywhere and tap "Read aloud": a TTS reader that works across your phone • Long books are fine, up to about 1,500 pages Listen your way • The sentence being read is highlighted, its word in bold, and the text scrolls along. Scroll away and "Follow along" brings you back • Tap a sentence to read from there, or tap Play on a text in your library to pick up where you left off • Choose the text size; on tablets the lines stay easy to follow • Speed from 0.5×: up to 3× with phone voices, and with natural voices as fast as your phone keeps up, up to 4.5×. The app measures your phone and shows its limit • Keep listening with the screen off, with controls in the notification and on the lock screen • Sleep timer, and a library that keeps your place in every text and file Good to know • Natural voices need one 145 MB download, about 450 MB of free space and a 64-bit phone with 3 GB of memory or more. After the download the app tests your phone's speed. If a phone can't run them, the app says so and reading stays with the phone's own voices • On such a phone Pro only removes the ads, and the Pro screen says so before you buy • Scanned PDFs and copy-protected ebooks can't be read yet • Web links are not read yet: open the page, select the text and tap "Read aloud" • Free version: one banner on the library screen, no ads while you listen and none in your first week. Try a sample from the empty library, and tap Play on a card to pick up where you left off. The app now hears which language a text is written in and picks a voice for it. Choose the text size in the Reader; lines stay easy to follow on tablets. A shared link now tells you how to have the page read. No ads in your first week. Fixed: "Download stopped" no longer shows before any download, and renaming a text closes cleanly.
