Notification history & the messages you never opened. Nothing leaves your phone.
Your phone shows you hundreds of notifications a day. You swipe most of them away. Somewhere in there was a person asking you something.
Unopened keeps the history, and tells you which ones you never opened.
Every evening
• One screen: the people who asked you something today and never got an answer.
• Sorted by who is waiting, not by what arrived last.
• Tap a row and the thread opens in the app that sent it.
• System messages (deliveries, banks, offers) are folded away, not mixed in.
The archive
• Every notification your phone has shown, kept and searchable.
• Search by what was said or who said it.
• Filter by app, by person, by category, by whether you opened it.
• See what a notification said after you swiped it away by accident.
Sorted the way you would sort it
• Twelve categories, from a map of the apps most phones have: people, work, email, finance, shopping and deliveries, travel, social, media, promotions, security codes, the phone itself.
• Work profiles: tell it which apps and which people are work, more than one profile if you have more than one, and Teams, Slack and their kind are work from the start.
• Every tag is a filter, and every guess can be corrected in two taps; the correction is remembered.
It reads the language the message is in
• You choose up to three languages, and each has its own classifier on the phone.
• English, Hindi and Hinglish are one choice, including Roman-script Hindi as people actually type it: "kal chahiye", "file bhej dena", "kya kar rha h".
• Also French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch.
• The app's own screens are translated into all nine, and follow your phone's language or one you choose in Settings.
Nothing leaves your phone
• Unopened has no internet permission. You can check that yourself in App info > Permissions, and in this listing's permission list.
• There are no advertisements, no analytics and no trackers.
• Notification content is stored in the app's private storage and is excluded from cloud backup, so it cannot end up on a server by accident.
• The one thing the app asks for is notification access, granted by you in system settings and revocable there at any time. Nothing is read until you grant it.
• Delete everything with one button, whenever you like.
What it cannot do, stated plainly
• Android does not let any app see the messages you send. Unopened can tell that a notification was opened, dismissed or answered from the notification shade, and it says "never opened", not "you never replied".
• Notifications an app clears in a batch are marked as unresolved rather than guessed at.
• On Android 15 and later, notifications containing a one-time code arrive hidden by the system and are stored that way.
What it costs
• Nothing. Every feature described above is in the app, free: the classifier in nine languages, the work profiles, the rules, search across the whole archive, and history kept for as long as you choose: seven days, a month, three months or a year.
• There are no advertisements, and there never will be. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no account, and no internet permission with which to send any of it.
• If a paid tier is ever added, it will be extra features on top of what you already have. Nothing you can do today will move behind it, and it will never be ads or your data.

Nouveautés
Fixes from testers: a swipe no longer counts as an answer, an opened question shows as Seen, and a reply the app can see always wins. Forgetting what it learned keeps your own choices. The details sheet, the conversation and the learned screen fit landscape and large text. Choosing the app's language now works on Android 12 and older. Counts read right at one ("1 day").
