Homelet: Pocket Prompter

Homelet, the actor's pocket prompter. Cast in a play and need to learn your lines? Homelet lets you rehearse your scene as if your fellow actors were there. Every character has a voice, you pick your part, and the app feeds you the cues: at home, on your commute or backstage. YOUR PLAY, READY TO REHEARSE Import your script from Homelet Studio: it is split into scenes, characters and lines. Voices for every character are generated automatically. Your play appears in the app as a thread, like a conversation: the other characters' lines on one side, yours on the other, highlighted in your colour. THREE WAYS TO REHEARSE • Listen: the whole scene is read aloud, your part included. Perfect for discovering the play or revising on the go. • At your pace: the app reads the other parts and leaves a silence for you to say your line. • Italian run: the app reads the other parts, then listens to you. It waits until you have said your line before moving on. Drawing a blank? "Prompt" plays your line, "Skip" moves on. While you rehearse, your upcoming lines are blurred: no peeking, it's your memory doing the work. Tap a bubble to reveal it. OR SIMPLY READ Reading mode shows the play in large type, without sound. You can blur your lines there too and test yourself at your own pace. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO WORK ON A SCENE • Start anywhere: tap a line and play from there. • Loop a passage until you know it by heart. • Adjust the speed of the voices and the volume of your own voice. • Jump from scene to scene with the contents, or show only the scenes you are in. • A chime or a vibration tells you it's your turn. • Export scenes as MP3 files to listen to them anywhere. ANYWHERE, EVEN OFFLINE Make a play available offline and rehearse on a plane, on the underground or at the back of a theatre with no signal. Playback continues with your phone in your pocket, with controls on the lock screen and on your headphones. WITH YOUR COMPANY The director shares the play with a code: each actor joins, picks a part and rehearses on their own.
