Real-time war in pixel art: storm trenches, call in drones and jets, build maps.
Two lines of trenches. A strip of shell holes between them. You give the orders.
Warfare Sandbox is a real-time war strategy game in detailed pixel art. Buy soldiers with the money your front earns, send them from cover to cover, and push until your troops break through to the enemy's side of the map.
FROM A RIFLE SQUAD TO COMBINED ARMS
Your campaign starts with riflemen and assault troopers. Every win opens more of the army: machine gunners after the first mission, rocket men after the second, drone operators after the fourth, and after the sixth your side's specialist, the Russian Shmel gunner or the American sniper. Above them, rocket salvos and attack jets wait for your call.
WHAT YOU DO
• Tap a trench, a house or a bunker and send your men into it
• Pick who goes, then ATTACK an enemy position or ASSAULT it to take it
• Tap a single enemy soldier or vehicle and send the right men to hunt him down
• Roll out infantry fighting vehicles: the BMP-2 for Russia, the Bradley for the US
• Load four kinds of shell crate: high explosive, cluster, thermobaric and smoke to cover an advance
• Drag a Rockets or an Airstrike card onto the map and watch the strike come in
• Bring down houses, bunkers and machine-gun nests that keep firing until they fall
• Upgrade each unit's damage, health and accuracy in five steps, then dress them in winter or urban camouflage
THREE WAYS TO FIGHT
Campaigns: one for each side, six missions apiece, each with a briefing from your commander. Win a chapter and it opens on Hard.
Operation: a run of 20 battles against the other army. Before each one, pick one of three cards: a new unit, fire support or a bonus. One defeat ends the run.
Sandbox: start on one of 15 ready-made maps, or lay out a battlefield of your design on 8 terrains in 5 sizes, from snowy villages to city ruins. Place trenches, bunkers, houses and wrecks, paint the ground, set up both armies and fight it out.
HOW IT PLAYS
Made for a phone held sideways. Fight in fair weather, in the rain or at night. Pause whenever you like and double the speed when the push is on. A short guided battle teaches the orders, and every first win pays coins for upgrades, camouflage and shell crates.
