LOCK THE APPS YOU CHOOSE Protect messaging apps, social apps, your gallery and other installed apps. Select which apps need an extra layer of privacy. UNLOCK YOUR WAY Use a PIN, password or pattern. Enable biometric unlocking on supported devices for convenient access with fingerprint or face authentication. OPTIONAL INTRUDER SELFIE When enabled, Lox uses the front camera to capture a photo after repeated failed unlock attempts. Captures stay on your device, where you can review or delete them. CONTROL WHEN APPS RELOCK Choose immediate relocking or a delay when switching away from a protected app. Turning off the screen clears unlock sessions. OPTIONAL UNINSTALL PROTECTION Enable device administrator access to help prevent Lox from being removed. You can manage this protection from within the app. HOME SCREEN WIDGETS See your protection status and turn protection on from your home screen. Turning protection off requires your Lox credential. A CLEAN, DARK INTERFACE Enjoy a focused design with sapphire accents and straightforward controls. PRIVACY ON YOUR DEVICE App locking works locally. Lox does not require an account, run analytics or send your credentials and intruder photos to external servers. Credentials are protected using encrypted storage. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED • Usage Access detects when a protected app is opened. • Display over other apps shows the lock screen. • Optional Accessibility Service detects protected app launches and identifies uninstall prompts for Lox. It may inspect an uninstall confirmation to identify Lox; it does not record screen content or send it to a server. • Camera access is used only when intruder selfie is enabled. • Optional device administrator access helps prevent uninstalling Lox. • Notifications show the background protection status. Biometric availability depends on your device. Some devices require battery settings to be adjusted so background protection can keep running. Keep your private apps behind a lock with Lox.
