A free food and symptom diary that analyses the hours after, not just the meal.
Some foods do something to you. The hard part is that they rarely do it
straight away — the meal was Tuesday evening and the trouble was
Wednesday morning, so you blame breakfast.
Aftertaste is a food and symptom diary built around that gap.
WRITE WHAT YOU ATE
Plain words, the way you would say it. Aftertaste breaks a dish down
into its ingredients and the components inside them, so "pasta with
garlic and parmesan" becomes wheat, fructans and aged cheese.
READ THE PATTERNS
Aftertaste looks back across a window you choose, up to three days, and
shows which components keep turning up before a bad stretch. It also
tells you what it cannot separate: if garlic and onion appear in every
meal together, no amount of data will tell them apart, and Aftertaste
says so rather than picking one.
YOUR LOGS STAY ON YOUR PHONE
No account, no sign-up, no server holding your symptom history. It lives
on your device. Export everything to a file whenever you like — that
export is also your backup, so keep one.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
Aftertaste does not diagnose anything, and no app can. It is a diary with
statistics attached. It gives you candidates and the evidence behind
them, so you have something concrete to discuss with a doctor or
dietitian instead of a hunch.
Free to use.
