Shoo Lane

Shoo Lane is a calm logic puzzle set in a farmyard just before sunrise. Every hen in the crowded yard faces one way, and a tap sends her running straight ahead and out onto the lane. A hen can only leave when nothing stands in her way. If another bird or a hay bale blocks the path, she bumps, squawks and walks back. Three squawks wake the farmer, so read the yard and plan the order before you tap. Sixty yards are spread over five lanes. Later lanes add hay bales that never move, mother hens leading chicks in a line, and weathervane hens that turn a quarter every time a bird leaves. Clear a yard with fewer squawks to earn up to three stars and Corn. Spend Corn on Corn Trail hints or on new breeds for your flock, and come back each day for the Morning Rush yard.
