Vellumfold: RPG Map Maker

Vellumfold is a tabletop companion for game masters: it paints a fantasy world on old vellum, lets you walk into its cities and dungeons, and opens an online table so your players follow along on their own phones. A WORLD IN A FEW TAPS Roll a new world and get a hand-drawn map with coastlines, mountains, forests, rivers and roads, and a name for every place. Paint land and nature with your finger, draw borders between realms and pin notes where the story happens. Choose black ink or full colour. CITIES AND DUNGEONS Tap a town and its streets, squares and buildings appear, every street with its own name. Tap a ruin or a cave and a dungeon opens with numbered rooms, secret doors, traps and torches. Populate it with monsters, treasure and people in one tap, or place every token yourself. RUN THE GAME Fog of war hides what the party has not seen yet; reveal it room by room. Tokens carry faces, names and short notes, and the ones you mark hidden stay hidden. Roll dice, keep a campaign notebook of sessions, characters, quests and places, and link them to each other with @. In a fight, give every token its hit points and conditions such as poisoned, prone or stunned, lay circles, cones, lines and cubes for spells, and keep the turn order. ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES What you build belongs to the world; what happens at the table belongs to the story. Run up to twenty stories on the same world, each with its own fog, party, fallen monsters, turn order and notebook, and switch between them at any time. Copy a whole world to start a new age or campaign from it. Your phone also keeps the last ten versions of every world, so a change gone wrong is never lost: open an older one as a new world. THE ONLINE TABLE Open a table and your players join with a six-letter code. They see what you show them: the map, the open fog, the tokens in view. Each player moves their own token, carries a bag and visits the inn, where you approve what they buy. No accounts, no sign-up. PRINT AND SHARE Save any map as a PNG picture or a 300 dpi PDF, with exactly the layers you want: place names, numbers, notes, torches, secrets, fog and tokens. Export all your maps at once and import them on another phone. YOUR DATA Your maps stay on your phone. Nothing leaves the device unless you open or join an online table; then only what the table needs is sent to Google Firebase, and the players and events are deleted when you close the table.
