Who called me? Check an unknown number for a name, country, or line type.
Missed a call from a number you don’t recognize? Enter the phone number to see the name associated with it when available. You can also check the country, approximate region, and line type before deciding whether to call back.
Reverse phone lookup
Start with the number from your missed call. Enter it on the home screen to look for an associated name, then open Number Info for more details. Depending on the number and data source, you may be able to tell whether it’s a mobile number or a landline. A number can have country or line type information even when no name is available.
Country code and approximate location
Got an international call with an unfamiliar country code? Use Approximate Location to check which country the number belongs to. When a prefix is associated with a specific region, you can see that too. The region comes from the phone number’s prefix and doesn’t tell you where the caller is now.
Recent searches
If the same number calls again, find it in your recent searches instead of typing it in a second time. This also comes in handy when you want to revisit a number you checked a few days ago.
Call and text safety
Even a caller using a familiar name might ask you to share a verification code or open an unexpected link. The Safety section offers practical tips for handling suspicious calls, text messages, and links. Try a short scam awareness quiz and review your answers to see which warning signs you spotted.
