Energy Detective

Follow the clues in your everyday consumption. Energy Detective brings meter readings, trends and practical savings tools together. YOUR PLACES AND VEHICLES Create profiles for a home, business, holiday cottage, apartment, car or a custom object. Add meters and units that match what you need to track. Keep a fuel log with refuelling, distance and costs. READINGS WITH PHOTOS Photograph a meter and enter its value manually. Save the date, note and photo, then reopen them in history. Compare monthly consumption and estimated costs using your unit price. Readings spanning several months are allocated proportionally and marked as estimates. INVESTIGATE AND CALCULATE Record measurements before and after a change. Estimate savings from standby power, water leaks, compressed-air pressure loss and ventilation heat loss. Calculate simple payback and save calculations as projects. PHONE AND WEB Export a backup including photos and import it at energydetective.app for a larger view. Transfer is by file, not automatic cloud sync. Records stay on your device or browser unless exported. Keep your own backups. No account is required. 24 languages, automatic system-language selection with English fallback, manual language choice, light and dark themes and a choice of currencies. All features are free. The Android app contains ads. One optional purchase removes ads permanently. No subscription or locked tools. Google Play shows the local price before purchase. Photos do not provide automatic OCR. Calculations are estimates from your inputs, not guaranteed savings. Pressure, airflow and electrical measurements require suitable external equipment; the phone is not an ultrasonic leak detector.
