The official app of the Essex Islamic Society, for Muslim students at the University of Essex, Colchester. PRAYER TIMES See today's times at a glance, with a live countdown to the next prayer. Switch between two schedules: • University Schedule — the times the Society runs on campus • Colchester Mosque — the local masjid's Hanafi iqamah times All times are entered by hand by the ISOC committee, not generated by the app, so what you see is what the Society and the masjid actually run. The app reads the time from our server rather than your phone's clock, so a phone set to the wrong time can't show you the wrong prayer time. EVENTS Socials, study circles, charity weeks and lectures, with the details you need and nothing you don't. Events stay listed while they're running, not just until they start. BOOKING AND ENTRY PASSES Book a place on events that need one, and get a QR pass to show on the door. If an event has limited places you'll be told when it's full, and the committee can close bookings or set a deadline. ANNOUNCEMENTS Room changes and urgent notices from the committee.
