Design a greenhouse, simulate a day of weather, and tune it to fit your crop.
Peacha Molus is a design and simulation tool 🛠️ for anyone building or planning a greenhouse, polytunnel, or covered growing structure. Instead of guessing how a structure will handle a hot afternoon or a cold night, you describe it once and let the model show you.
Start 🚀 by building a structure: pick a shape (hoop tunnel, lean-to, or gable), set its size, choose a cover material and floor, and add the details that change how it holds heat — roof and side vents, shading, water barrels for thermal mass, a fan, an insect screen, or a heater. Each build 🔨 shows its floor area, volume, cover area, and vent ratio as you go.
Next, pick a day of weather 🌤️ to test it against. A sky day carries day length, peak solar radiation, cloud cover, dew point, and the day's temperature range, from a clear midsummer day to a cold clear night. Then choose a target 🎯 — the temperature, humidity, and vapour pressure deficit range a crop like leafy greens or warm crops actually needs.
Run the day and Peacha Molus walks all 24 hours step by step, then grades the result from A to F with a full report 🧾: peak inside temperature, rise over ambient, night low, hours spent inside the target 🎯 band, degree-hours of overheating or cold, condensation, and a chart 📊 of inside temperature across the day.
When a structure falls short, switch to Tune. Turn on the knobs you're willing to adjust — vent areas, vent setpoint, shade, fan flow, heater output, and more — and the search 🔍 comes back with ranked fixes, each showing its isolated and marginal effect on the score 🔢, plus a before-and-after chart 📊. Apply the fixes you want, one at a time ⏱️ or all at once.
Log 📝 real temperature and humidity readings against a build 🔨 to calibrate the model to how your structure actually behaves, so future simulations reflect reality rather than theory. Peacha Molus keeps every build, sky day, target 🎯, run, and tune session ⏱️ on your device, ready to revisit and refine.
