Fishing Journal: Castwell

Castwell is the fishing journal that works without an account, without a feed and without signal. Logging a catch takes seconds: tap the species, type the length, save. Everything else is optional. Your catches, photos and spots stay on your phone. LOG A CATCH IN UNDER 30 SECONDS • Big species buttons with the fish you caught last, search across 50 species (English, German, Latin) or add your own species. • Length and weight as numbers, precise to the millimetre or the hundredth of a pound. No fiddly sliders, no upper limit. • Up to four photos, bait and water with suggestions from your own fishing diary, released or kept. • Weather, wind, water temperature and a note if you want. A GPS point only if you choose to save one. BITE TIMES AND MOON PHASE, FREE AND OFFLINE • Major and minor periods after the solunar theory, for every day, 30 days ahead. • Moon phase, moonrise, moonset, sunrise and sunset for your place, calculated on the phone to the minute, even without signal at the water. • A rating for every day with a “Why?” behind it. Honestly: whether fish follow solunar tables is disputed. That is why Castwell measures your own hit rate. SPECIES ALBUM AND PERSONAL BESTS • Every species you catch turns from a shadow into a full colour plate in the style of an old field guide, with your record. • New species and new personal bests are celebrated. Season stats with days fished, longest and heaviest fish and your best day. CATCH CARD TO SHARE • Every catch as a card with photo, measuring board, length, date and moon phase. Share it anywhere. • The water only shows on the card if you want it to. Your spots stay yours. NO ACCOUNT, NO DATA LOSS • No sign-up, no profile, no forum, no ads. • Free backup file with all catches and photos. Load it on your new phone and everything is back. • Pro returns automatically with your Google account on a new phone, plus a “Restore purchase” button. • Filters for species, water and year are remembered. CASTWELL PRO (3 DAYS FREE TRIAL) • Pattern analysis: time of day, moon phase, your bite time hit rate compared with chance, best bait per species, best waters. • Barometer history from your phone's pressure sensor (if it has one), pressure trend saved with every catch. • Catch list PDF for your club's annual report, with totals per water and species, plus CSV export. • Field guide card style. Logging catches, bite times, album, personal bests, catch cards and backup stay free. A fishing logbook for bass, pike, walleye, trout, carp, catfish, perch and more, freshwater and saltwater.
